Exercise 1 Vocabulary

I write several sentenses using these words.
And a tutor refines them if they need.

  1. especially

    I like a muffin especially in all donuts.

  2. educational

     教育の、教育的な(形容詞) 教えや学びに関する事
    Educational basic is to imitiate good examples.

  3. post

     投稿する(動詞) 写真、ビデオ、情報を特別なWebサイトに置く事
    I have posted many articles about domestic travelings on my blog until now.

  4. resource

     資源(名詞) 何かの達成に役立てる事ができる何か
    We don't have enough resource to invest developing new apps.

  5. subtitle

     字幕(名詞) 映画やTV等に出ている人々が話した事について、スクリーンの下に現れる言葉
    I sometimes learn English by reading subtitles in American TV dramas like "Walking Dead".

  6. focus

     集中する(動詞) 1つの特別な物、題、人等に対して注意が向けられる事
    One of my coworker often focus on one thing and he forget other tasks.

Exercise 2 Article

I summarize the article points and express my impression.
Besides, if there are words that I couldn't understand, I write down them words here and study them.

  • Summarized in a few lines
    This article introduce how to improve English listening skills in own country. First, it recommends to watch educational videos. For example, on Youtube and TED.com. Second, it recommends also listening to English audiobooks and podcasts. If I don't have enough time, It's saying that I can listen to them while whatever I do.

  • My Impression
    I listen to podcast everyday that a mixed blood tutor named "Jun" teaches to translate to English from Japanese. Besides, I listen to CD that plays to read one vocabulary book.
    Actually, I think It bring up to implove my listening skills. I have felt pretty good effects by them.

  1. Do you ever listen to audiobooks or podcasts on your way to work or school? Why? Why not?

     Answer:
    Yes, I do. I always listen to podcasts on my way to work. Besides, I sometimes listen to sounds to play pronunciations of words.

  2. Do you watch a lot of YouTube videos? If so, what are your favorite channels? If not, why not?

     Answer:
    Yes, I do. I watch many Youtube videos. I often watch "Speak English With Vanessa" Channel. This channel teaches us various topics of English. And I'm happy to see the vidios because this tutor is very beautiful.

  3. Do you often watch TED talks? If so, which ones would you recommend? If not, why not?

    Answer:
    No, I don't watch it. Moreover, I didn't know much what TED is before I read this article.

  4. How often do you watch movies and TV shows in English? Do you usually watch them with subtitles?

     Answer:
    I watch movies in English once a week. In recent, I have watched "WAYNE" on Youtube Premium a one month free experience service. I can't watch without subtitles.

  5. What advice would you give to someone who wants to improve their listening skills? Please explain your answer.

     Answer:
    I'd like to advise them it is the most important to get in touch with English sounds every day. I think I have gotten improving little by little my listening skills as possible as I get in touch with it.

  1. How often do you get the chance to talk to someone in English? Please explain your answer.

     Answer:
    I have 3 times in a week on Cambly. I want a few foreign friends who use English and learn Japanese. But I don't know where they are.

  2. What English-speaking countries would you most like to visit someday? Why?

     Answer:
    I most want to visit to America. Because America is the biggest country that affects around other countries. In recent I don't snowboard. But If I do it, I want to Canada because there are many big mountains that falls much of snow.

  3. When did you start learning English? What motivated you to do so?

     Answer:
    I started to learn English in July 2018. When I traveled abroad on honeymoon and I saw many amazing viewings, I decided to learn it.

  4. What advice would you give to someone who's about to start learning English? Please explain your answer.

     Answer:
    I want to say "You should make a habit to enjoy English.". And I think finding own favorite English contents as possible as early is also very important.

  5. I think learning a second language is one of the best things you can do with your time. - D. James Ward. Do you agree with Ward? Why? Why not?

     Answer:
    Of course, I agree with it. If someone who disagree with that opinion, its person never study English.
