    They aren't our related companies. They're our suppliers.

  6. depend

     依存する(動詞) 何かから影響を受けたり、決められたりする事
    My son always depend on us, in spite of he will be 20 years old soon.

    In the United States, the most common last name is Smith. Its name is from a profession blacksmith.
    Also other names came from a person's name, where someone lived, and so on.

  • My Impression
    Japanese name is also included many meaning. I had misunderstood that English name is from someone's feeling or senses. It made my knowledge.

     My Answer:
    Smith is the most common last name in the US.
     Correct Answer:
    They have English, Scottish, Irish, or Welsh roots because people from those countries were among the first Europeans to settle in North America.

  2. How were people given surnames in England in the past?

     My Answer:
    Last names were not commonly used in England until 1066.
     Correct Answer:
    Ideas for a second name, or surname, usually came from a person's father's name, where they lived, their job, or even a nickname.

  3. Are there more Andersons than Browns on the US East Coast?

    My Answer:
    No, there aren't. On the US East Coast, people named Brown are more common than Anderson.

I answer these indicaded questions.

  1. What are your thoughts on the most common surnames in the US?

     My Answer:
    I thought the most common surname is Brown. The person was adopted to Japanese English text book as an American teacher.

  2. What would you say are the most common last names where you live? Please explain your answer.

     My Answer:
    I think "Sato" is the most common last name in Japan.

  3. What do you know about the history of your last name? Please share your knowledge.

     My Answer:
    My name is ******. The first character means "making". And the second character means "a kind of grain". When my ancestor was given the last name, there was grain gardens near their house. 

  4. Is your first name common in your country? Please explain your answer.

     My Answer:
    My name is very common. There are many person who named ***. For example, actor, comedian, even neighboor and so on.

  5. How did your parents choose your name? Please explain your answer.

     My Answer:
    I heard my parents asked one fortune teller what own son's name appropriate. The fortune teller told them 2 names. First one means "kindness", and second one means "toughness". Then my parents chose first one.

  1. Are you interested in learning more about your family history? Why? Why not?

     My Answer:
    I'm not interested in. Because my family history may not have a dramatical story.

  2. What are your favorite English names? Why do you like them?

     My Answer:
    My favorite name is Zack. The name was used in famous Japanese game named "Final Fantasy 7" as "Zacks". My real name may be misunderstood a dirty word ***. So if I use "Zack", foreign people will not misunderstand.

  3. If you were to have a baby, what would you consider naming him or her? Please explain your answer.

     My Answer:
    I thought a baby names are "Nagi" for a girl,  and "Himuro" for a boy.
    Their names are traditional Japanese tree names.

  4. Do you have a nickname? If so, how did you get it?

     My Answer:
    Yes, I do. It is shortend my real name simply.

  5. Your parents name you, but they haven't a clue who you are. Your friends nickname you because they know exactly who you are. - Sting. What do you make of this statement?

     My Answer:
    Its statement feels very deep. When friends nickname someone, they already catch someone's features. One of my wife's friend is nicknamed "Bob" though she is Japanese. She likes an animation "Spongebob".
